In which year was the Poisons Act enacted in India?
Answer: B
The Poisons Act was enacted in 1919.
The Poisons Act, 1919 empowers state governments to regulate the import, possession and sale of poisons by licensing, and to specify which substances count as poisons.
1909, 1924 and 1935 are distractors close to it in time. The Dangerous Drugs Act followed in 1930 and the Drugs Act in 1940, so the poisons law came first of these.
