Three of the following are stack design constraints. Which is a meteorological input?
Pasquill stability class
Aviation height limits
Structural wind loading
Acid dew point of the flue gas
Answer: D
Correct answer: Pasquill stability class
The Pasquill stability class describes the state of the atmosphere - it is an input from meteorology, not something the designer controls. Aviation limits, wind loading and the acid dew point are all constraints the design must satisfy.
