State whether the following is true or false.
A thermoplastic can be melted and reshaped repeatedly.
Answer: A
Its chains are held together only by physical forces, which soften on heating. A thermoset has covalent crosslinks that decompose rather than soften, so it cannot be remoulded. Recycling therefore works only for the thermoplastics.
