Put the stages of drawing a solid with its axis inclined to both planes in order.
1. Turn the solid to give the required inclination to the second plane 2. Draw the solid in its simple position with the axis vertical 3. Read the required dimensions from the final views 4. Tilt the axis to the required inclination with the first plane
Answer: A
Correct answer: 2, 4, 1, 3
The order is fixed by the need to draw true shapes before distorting them. Begin with the simple position, base flat and axis vertical, where the base appears at true size. Tilt that drawing to give the inclination to the first plane. Then turn the result to give the inclination to the second. Only when the final views are complete can dimensions be read from them.
