Cytopyge is absent in:
Answer: C
Correct answer: Amoeba
A cytopyge is a fixed point on the pellicle through which undigested residue is discharged, and it requires a body of definite shape to be fixed in. Amoeba, having no pellicle and no permanent form, egests wherever the vacuole reaches the surface. Paramecium and Balantidium, both ciliates with firm pellicles, have a proper cytopyge.
