Provisions regarding Public documents has been described in which section of Indian Evidence Act, 1872?
Answer: A
Public documents are described in Section 74 of the Indian Evidence Act, 1872: documents forming the acts or records of the acts of the sovereign authority, of official bodies and tribunals, and of public officers, legislative, judicial and executive, whether of India or of a foreign country, and public records kept in any State of private documents.
Section 65 lists the cases in which secondary evidence of documents may be given, Section 87 states the presumption as to books, maps and charts, and Section 28 deals with confessions made after the removal of the impression caused by an inducement. None concerns the definition of public documents.
