Stock arrives at the headbox at 0.5 per cent consistency and leaves the wire at 20 per cent. Roughly how much of the original water has been removed by the wire?

One part of fibre carries about one hundred and ninety-nine parts of water at the headbox and four parts at the couch, so about ninety-eight per cent has gone. Most of the water leaves in the very first section of the machine.
