According to Section 12 of the BNS, what is the maximum length of a solitary confinement period that can be executed without a break, under any circumstance ?
Answer: C
The maximum continuous period is 14 days.
Section 12 of the BNS provides that solitary confinement shall never exceed fourteen days at a time, with intervals between the periods of not less than the length of those periods. Where the imprisonment exceeds three months, solitary confinement may not exceed seven days in any one month.
10, 11 and 30 days do not match the statutory limit.
