The child C is less intelligent than the child D. The child B is less intelligent than the child C and child A is more intelligent then the child E. Which child is the most intelligent ?

Read each comparison as a link in one chain. A is less than B, B is less than C, and C is less than D, giving \( A < B < C < D \). The clue that A is more intelligent than E places E at the bottom, so the full order is \( E < A < B < C < D \) and D is the most intelligent.
