A reaction is second order overall. What are the units of its rate constant when the rate is in moles per litre per second?
Answer: B
Dividing the rate units by concentration squared leaves litres per mole per second. Checking the units of a rate constant is the quickest way to confirm the order it was fitted for. The exponent decides what units remain.
