State whether the following is true or false.
The true density of a mineral and its bulk density in a silo are usually close to each other.
Answer: D
Bulk density counts the air between particles as well as the solid, so it is commonly between a third and two thirds of the true density. The two are used for entirely different calculations and are never interchangeable.
