Which one of the following options does not describe the pool in the stream ?
Answer: B
The option that does not describe the pool is rough rocks on the bed.
Paragraph 2 says the stream was 'running over a bed of shingle' and that 'the rocks beside the stream were smooth'. The bed is shingle and the rocks are smooth, so no rough rocks are described.
The other three are in the passage. Water trickled 'from amongst ferns and grasses', 'a small waterfall came down the rocks', and it formed a pool 'of apple-green water'.
