Which of the following statements is True/False ?
A. Lata had done well in the examination.
B. She feared she would be asked how she had fared in the examination at home.
Answer: C
The answer is B is true but A is false.
A is false: Lata is close to tears and goes to a bench to collect herself, which does not suggest that she did well. B is true: the passage says that when she got home for lunch she would be pestered with a hundred questions about how well she had done, and she dreads it.
So 'both true' fails on A, 'both false' fails on B, and 'A is true but B is false' reverses the two.
