Who is the narrator in the poem ?
Answer: A
The narrator is the poet.
The poem is told in the first person ('I watched the flame feeding on my mother'), by a child who sees what happens to his mother and recalls it later as the poet. So the speaker is the poet remembering the night.
A villager and a common man are not suggested; the father is a sceptic and rationalist who tries every cure, and the narrator is the son. The reader is the one who hears the poem, not the one who speaks it.
