Why was the aunt angry at the uncle's entertaining friends at home?
Answer: D
The answer is both (1) and (3).
The aunt's complaints are listed in the third paragraph: when the company dispersed she would complain that the card players demanded coffee and edibles and kept her busy ('you lock me up in the kitchen all day'), which is option (3). The passage also says the uncle was supposed to have lost a lot of money in the card games and that the aunt was very definite he should never go near cards again, which is option (1).
Noise, option (2), is not mentioned anywhere. The card players sat in the hall and played into the night, but the aunt's stated grievances are the work and the money.
