State which of the following statements is True/False.
A : The friends' sessions gradually came to an end.
B : The uncle stubbornly refused to listen to his wife.
Choose the correct option.
Answer: C
The answer is A is true but B is false.
A is true: 'Worn out by her attacks, my uncle began to avoid his friends, the company gradually dwindled and disappeared.' B is false: the uncle did not refuse to listen to his wife, since her scolding is what made him give up the sessions. He did go on dreaming about cards, but he stopped the gatherings.
So both-true and both-false are wrong, and the option that makes B true and A false reverses the facts.
