Read the following statements and state which of the options given below is correct.
(A) Vegetarianism promotes longer and healthier lives and helps to preserve earth's natural resources.
(B) Vegetarianism has not become very popular because it does not help in prevention or treatment of heart diseases.
Answer: C
Only (A) is correct.
(A) is supported by the first paragraph: people choose vegetarianism to 'live longer, healthier lives' and to 'preserve earth's natural resources'.
(B) is not supported. The passage says vegetarianism has not spread as it should because it 'is an inward-looking habit', and it says nothing on heart disease or its treatment.
So 'both correct', 'both incorrect' and 'only (B) correct' are out.
