Which of the following statements referring to science is FALSE?

The false statement is that the increased use of machines has led to large-scale employment. The passage says the opposite, that more and more use of machines has led to large-scale unemployment.
The other statements are true to the passage: machines have investigated and cured diseases through science, machinery has eliminated human labour, and science helps us explore the treasures of the earth.
