Which of the following statements may not be concluded from the passage ?
Answer: C
The statement that may not be concluded is (c), that vertical farming has no negative implications.
The passage presents vertical farming only as a proposal. It says such farms would need to be efficient, cheap to construct and safe to operate, and that the benefits are what proponents claim if the idea is successfully implemented. It never says there are no drawbacks.
The other three can be drawn from it: floods, droughts, hurricanes and monsoons destroy crops each year as the climate changes (a); vertical farms are claimed to give sustainable production of food (b); and they would greatly reduce the transportation needed to bring food to consumers (d).
