The Gandhi Solar Park was inaugurated at the headquarters of the United Nations.
In September 2019, to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, India gifted a solar installation on the roof of the UN headquarters in New York, with 193 panels, one for each member state, and about 50 kW of capacity. It was inaugurated during the UN General Assembly session as a symbol of India's commitment to renewable energy.
The World Health Organization, the International Atomic Energy Agency and the International Monetary Fund are headquartered in Geneva, Vienna and Washington, and none hosts the Gandhi Solar Park.
