The news value ‘prominence’ is said to be present in which kind of story ?
Answer: B
Prominence is present when the story involves very well known people.
Prominence is the news value of fame: the more prominent the people (or places and institutions) involved, the more newsworthy the event. A minor accident is local news, but the same accident involving a film star or the Prime Minister is national news.
A story that affects a large number of people has the news value of impact or magnitude. A story with one prominent character may still be about an unknown person, and appearing on the front page is the result of a story's news value, not a news value in itself.
