How does a reporter 'balance' the story ?
Answer: B
A reporter balances a story by quoting several different sources.
Balance means presenting the relevant sides of a story fairly, so that readers can judge for themselves. A reporter achieves it by seeking out and quoting people with different viewpoints, especially giving those criticised a chance to respond, rather than relying on one source.
Writing more paragraphs, adding pictures or publishing a follow-up do not by themselves make a story fair; a long story with a single source and pictures is still one-sided.
