Cluster sampling is a type of Probability sampling.
In cluster sampling the population is divided into natural groups (clusters), such as schools or villages, and a random sample of whole clusters is selected; all members of the chosen clusters, or a random sample of them, are studied. Because the clusters are chosen at random, every member has a known chance of selection, which makes it a probability method.
Purposive sampling is a non-probability method in which the researcher chooses cases deliberately, so options A, C and D, which are all forms of non-random selection, are wrong.
