Answer: C
A longitudinal accelerometer reads the component of gravity along the vehicle. The last option describes exactly that sensor and its location, which makes it a correct and more specific version of the same answer. Naming the cost of a choice alongside its benefit is what turns a fact into a design decision. A symptom that appears under one condition and not another is what narrows the diagnosis quickly.
