Which one of the following is not a part of the EIA scoping process ?
Answer: B
The step not part of scoping is description of environmental impacts and creation of contingency plans.
Scoping is the early stage that decides what the EIA should study. It defines the project area and zone of influence, the issues and environmental and socio-economic components to cover, and the criteria for assessing them, and produces the terms of reference.
Describing the actual impacts and preparing contingency or management plans come later, in impact prediction and the environmental management plan. The other three options are all ordinary scoping tasks.
