Select the grammatically correct sentence:
1. As the train which was my usual was missing I had to travel.
2. Having missed the train which I usually catch and had to travel.
3. I missed the train which I usually catch and had to travel by the next.
4. I missed not only the train which I usually catch but had to travel on the next.
Answer: C
It is sentence 3.
Sentence 2 joins a participle phrase to a finite verb with and, which leaves no subject for had to travel. Sentence 3 supplies a subject and keeps both verbs finite.
