Correct sequence: F – E – C – A – D – G – B
How the paragraph builds:
- F makes the claim: citizens will have to learn a foreign language.
- E begins the elimination - the reason is not trade, medical books or Homer.
- C continues it with nor is it.
- A continues again with it is not even.
- D finally gives the real reason: one cannot understand one’s own language without studying another.
