Tajinderpal Singh Toor created a national record in ______ by winning a gold medal at the 60th Inter-State Athletics Championships in June 2021.
Answer: D
The answer is shot put. At the 60th Inter-State Athletics Championships in June 2021, Tajinderpal Singh Toor won gold in the shot put, setting a new national record, as the question states. He is a shot putter and not a pole vaulter, high jumper or discus thrower, so the other options do not fit. The record is stated in the question itself, and the event agrees with the official key.
