Rangana Herath of Sri Lanka was the first left-arm spinner to take 400 Test wickets, reaching the mark in 2017.
He finished with 433 in 93 Tests, most of them taken after he turned 30 - a career shaped by the years he spent behind Muttiah Muralitharan.
