Consider the following statements :
1. A permanent bridge has been built on River Ravi for connecting Kasowal enclave in Punjab along the India-Pakistan border with the rest of the country.
2. This 484-meter long bridge has been built by Border Roads Organisation (BRO) under the Project Chetak.
Which of the above statements is/are correct ?
Answer: C
Both statements are correct, so the answer is Both 1 and 2.
In 2020 the Border Roads Organisation completed a permanent bridge over the Ravi to connect the Kasowal enclave in Gurdaspur district of Punjab, a strip of land lying between the river and the India-Pakistan border, with the rest of the country (1). Until then the enclave was linked only by a temporary pontoon bridge that had to be removed in the monsoon.
The bridge is 484 metres long and was built by the BRO under its Project Chetak (2). With both statements true, the other three options are wrong.
