Statement: Should fashionable dresses be banned?
Arguments:
1. Yes. Fashions keep changing and hence consumption of cloth increases.
2. No. Fashionable clothes are a person's self expression and therefore his/her fundamental right.
Answer: B
Correct answer: Only argument II is strong
Argument 2 rests on a principle: how a person dresses is part of their own expression and no business of the state. Argument 1 objects that fashion consumes cloth, which is a trifling consideration beside a ban on what people may wear. Only II is strong.
