Statement: Should public holidays be declared on demise of important national leaders?
Arguments:
1. No. Such unscheduled holidays hamper national progress.
2. Yes. People would like to pay their homage to the departed soul
Answer: A
Correct answer: Only argument I is strong
Argument 1 names a real cost: offices, factories and schools closing at no notice interrupt work throughout the country. Argument 2 offers homage as the reason, but respect can be paid without stopping the nation’s business. Only I is strong.
