Which suspension type is standard on heavy goods trailers?
Answer: A
Air suspension holds the deck height constant regardless of load, which matters for loading bays and for coupling. It also protects fragile freight. Leaf springs remain common on cheaper trailers. Reading the definition literally, rather than recalling a summary, avoids the usual confusion. The shared behaviour explains why these belong together and the differences explain why both exist.
