The word 'gratifying' means
Answer: B
'Gratifying' means satisfying.
Something gratifying gives pleasure or satisfaction, usually because it meets a wish or rewards an effort: 'It was gratifying to see the students succeed.' The word comes from the Latin gratus, pleasing.
'Annoying' is its opposite. 'Giving' only echoes the idea of a gift, which is a different word. 'Fortifying' means strengthening, as in fortifying a wall or a food with vitamins, which has nothing to do with pleasure.
