Which is not a method to obtaining the somatotype ?
Answer: D
The one that is not a somatotyping method is the 'classic method'.
Somatotype, the rating of body shape for endomorphy, mesomorphy and ectomorphy, is obtained in three recognised ways. Sheldon's original photoscopic method rates standardised photographs. The Heath-Carter anthropometric method calculates the three components from height, weight, skinfolds, bone widths and girths. The Heath-Carter rating form is the worksheet on which those measurements are recorded and converted, and a combined anthropometric plus photoscopic method is also used.
There is no somatotyping technique known as the classic method, so option D is the odd one out.
