A weave characterized by diagonal lines on its surface is :
Answer: C
The weave with diagonal lines is twill.
In a twill weave each weft yarn passes over or under two or more warp yarns, and the point of interlacing moves one step along on each row. This produces the diagonal ribs, or wales, seen on denim, gabardine and drill.
A plain weave has a simple one-over-one-under checkerboard with no diagonal. A satin weave has long floats arranged so that no line is seen, giving a smooth lustrous face, and a honeycomb weave forms raised square cells.
