Virus detection is a problem with encrypted messages, because the virus may not be detectable until the message is unencrypted.
Answer: A
Correct answer: True
A scanner examining encrypted traffic sees only ciphertext and can detect nothing within it, so the inspection has to happen after decryption - at the endpoint, or at a device that terminates the encryption. Encryption therefore protects the message from interception and hides its contents from the defender at the same time.
