Which one is not an extensive variable?
Answer: D
The variable that is not extensive is density.
An extensive variable scales with the size of the system: double the system and it doubles. Total mass, internal energy and volume all do this, and so does the work \(P\,dV\), since it is proportional to the volume change.
Density is mass divided by volume. Doubling the system doubles both, so density is unchanged: it is an intensive variable, like pressure and temperature.
