What is the role of evidence in critical thinking ?
Answer: A
In critical thinking, evidence should be evaluated in a logical and systematic way.
Critical thinking means reaching a judgement by examining the reasons and evidence for a claim. Evidence is therefore central: the thinker checks its source, relevance, reliability and sufficiency, weighs it against counter-evidence, and only then draws a conclusion.
Accepting evidence without analysis is the opposite of critical thinking, calling evidence irrelevant removes the very basis of judgement, and ignoring evidence in favour of personal opinion is the bias critical thinking is meant to overcome.
