In what time will a railway train 60 m long moving at the rate of 36 kmph pass a telegraph post on its way?
Answer: D
A telegraph post has no length, so the train covers only its own 60 m.
\[ 36 \text{ kmph} = 36 \times \frac{5}{18} = 10 \text{ m/s} \]
\[ t = \frac{60}{10} = 6 \text{ seconds} \]
Passing a platform or bridge would require adding its length as well; a post adds nothing.
