A closed loop system is distinguished from open loop system by one of the following :
Answer: B
A closed-loop system is distinguished by feedback.
In a closed-loop system the output is measured and fed back to be compared with the reference input; the error between them drives the controller. An open-loop system acts only on the input command and never checks the output. Feedback is what lets a closed-loop system correct for disturbances and parameter changes.
A servomechanism is one kind of closed-loop system (a feedback system controlling position or speed), not the distinguishing feature. Both kinds of system have inputs and outputs, so the input or output pattern does not distinguish them.
