Discussion
What kind of sentence is the following?
"Where have they all disappeared?"
Answer: B
It is an interrogative sentence.
The sentence asks a question: it opens with the question word Where, places the auxiliary have before the subject they, and ends with a question mark.
An exclamatory sentence expresses strong feeling and ends with an exclamation mark, an optative sentence expresses a wish, and a declarative sentence makes a statement. None of these fits a direct question.
