Calculate the Secondary Voltage:
Answer: B
The secondary voltage is 25 V.
In a transformer the voltage per turn is the same on both windings, so the voltages are in the ratio of the turns:
\[ \begin{aligned} \frac{V_{2}}{V_{1}} &= \frac{N_{2}}{N_{1}} \\ V_{2} &= 100 \times \frac{200}{800} = 25\ \text{V} \end{aligned} \]
With fewer secondary turns this is a step-down transformer. 400 V inverts the ratio (\(100 \times 800/200\)), treating it as step-up; 250 V and 40 V do not follow from the turns ratio at all.
