According to Lev Vygotsky :
Answer: D
According to Vygotsky, language development facilitates cognitive development.
For Lev Vygotsky, language is the most important cultural tool for thinking. Children first use speech to communicate with others; this social speech becomes private speech, which they use to guide their own actions, and finally inner speech, which is verbal thought. Language thus shapes and drives cognitive development.
The view that cognition comes first and makes language possible is closer to Piaget's position. Vygotsky did not see the two as independent, and he held that social factors shape both language and thought.
