According to Vygotsky children speak to themselves :
Answer: A
For Vygotsky, children speak to themselves to aid thought and for self-regulation.
Vygotsky saw private speech as a key step in development. Speech begins as a social tool used with others; children then turn it on themselves, talking aloud to plan, guide and control their actions, especially when a task is difficult. Gradually it becomes silent inner speech, the medium of verbal thought.
Explaining private speech as a sign that children are egocentric, or that their thought is illogical, is Piaget's account, which Vygotsky disputed. Self-reinforcement when adults ignore them is not part of either theory.
