In the constructivist view :
Answer: C
In the constructivist view, learning is extending and transforming the current understanding.
Constructivists such as Piaget and Vygotsky hold that learners actively build knowledge. New experiences are interpreted through what the learner already knows; they may be fitted into existing ideas or force those ideas to be reorganised. Learning is therefore an active change in understanding, not the receipt of information.
Being passively shaped by environmental events and being conditioned to learn new behaviours are behaviourist views. Writing associations on a blank slate is the empiricist 'tabula rasa' picture of the mind that constructivism rejects.
