The Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act was enacted in the year :
Answer: C
The Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act was enacted in 2010.
The 2010 Act replaced the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act of 1976. It regulates the acceptance and use of foreign contributions by individuals, associations and companies, and bars them for activities harmful to the national interest. Voluntary organisations must register under it, or obtain prior permission, before receiving foreign funds.
2011 is the trap: the Act came into force on 1 May 2011, but it was passed in 2010. 2008 and 2009 match neither date. The Act was later amended, most notably in 2020.
