The State Government issues a notification specifying its intention to constitute an area as National Park under ________ of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972.
Answer: A
The notification of intention is issued under Section 35(1).
Section 35(1) of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972 allows the State Government, where it considers an area of adequate ecological, faunal, floral, geomorphological or zoological significance, to declare by notification its intention to constitute it a National Park. The later subsections deal with specifying the boundaries, the inquiry into rights and the final declaration after rights are settled.
So 35(2), 35(3) and 35(4) are later steps in the same process, not the notification of intention.
