If it is possible to make a meaningful word with the third, fifth, eighth and tenth letters of the word "DISTRIBUTE', which of the following will be the third letter of that word ? If no such word can be made, give X as the answer and if more than one such word can be made, give M as the answer.
Answer: B
Correct answer: M
Number the letters of DISTRIBUTE: D(1) I(2) S(3) T(4) R(5) I(6) B(7) U(8) T(9) E(10). The third, fifth, eighth and tenth are S, R, U, E. These give more than one English word - SURE, USER and RUSE - and the instruction says that when more than one word can be made the answer is M, not the letter of any one of them.
