Your Answer : (Not Answered)
Correct Answer : A
Disposal of sewage into streams and rivers is called Dilution.
In disposal by dilution, sewage (usually after treatment) is discharged into a large body of water. The receiving water dilutes the organic matter, and its dissolved oxygen and natural self-purification oxidise the waste. It works only when the stream has enough flow and oxygen to absorb the load.
Flushing is the cleaning of sewers with water, dumping is a general term for dropping waste, and sludge disposal deals with the solids separated during treatment, not the discharge of sewage into rivers.
